At first, I must admit, I was a little hesitant to have my cards read. I had heard from a few work colleagues that Kate's readings were eerily true, which sparked my intrigue. Just how good was she?
Not really knowing Kate at this stage, I asked her for a reading. I found Kate to have an incredibly calming aura. You just get a strange overwhelming sense that she has some kind of spiritual or mythical connection.
I don't think I could have prepared myself for the reading she gave me that day. As she placed the cards, revealing their meaning, I began to panic. She was mentioning things that had been silently plaguing me for some months. I had never told a soul and just shook my head in disbelief as I vehemently denied and rejected everything she was telling me.
I purposely tried to forget about the reading until I got home later that afternoon. I burst into tears while opening my door. It just hit me straight away. I had been unhappy for so long but had learnt to ignore the feeling by lying to myself and friends and family. But it was beginning to weigh heavily on my health. Minute cracks had started to appear in my facade but I concealed it well and no one knew. So, how could she be so spot on?
I can honestly say, I was so used to lying that I had trouble recognising the truth. The more I went over the reading in my mind the more revelations I made. Every aspect of my life changed that afternoon. Knowing that there was some greater force in the Universe that saw through my lies and denial frightened me, but at the same time forced me to face reality. I'll never forget that day or that reading. I know it wasn't just a one-off coincidence because she's done many readings for me since then. Every single time she hits the nail on the head. I still try to deny everything until the reading is finished but she knows... she just knows.
